Our commitment

Terrapin ABA serves families of children with disabilities, and we want our website to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we've built in

• A "skip to main content" link on every page for keyboard users
• Keyboard-operable menus and FAQ accordions, with visible focus indicators
• Screen-reader state announcements on menus, accordions, and form messages
• Descriptive text alternatives on meaningful images
• Support for reduced-motion preferences: animations are disabled when your device asks for less motion
• Text that scales with browser zoom, and pinch-zoom that is never blocked on mobile
• Color choices checked for contrast against our backgrounds

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review new pages against these standards as we add them, and we fix issues as we find them or as they are reported.
